Hi,
I have a partitioned table (used range partition and partition key as TEST_DATE) and a column (TEST_ID) with a primary key. I created a LOCAL INDEX for the partitions, I have the following queries for which a response will be appreciated:-
1. Is it possible to create a LOCAL index without specifying a partition key for it? i.e. I create a LOCAL INDEX using a column TEST_NAME which is neither a PKEY nor a partition key...
2. While doing DBMS_STATS will the local index will be prioritized as compared to global index (which is for Primary Key TEST_ID)
An early response on this will be highly appreciated...
Regards,
Uncle Sam |
