| Hey guys, We are on Oracle 9i and not sure if we will migrate to Oracle 11g. I am wondering, if any of you folks have upgraded to Oracle 11G and if so why, or if you are still in the previous version, why so. Also, wondering, if I am on Oracle 9i - how much incremental budget will i need to get approval for, if we migrate to Oracle 11g - assuming all other things being equal. |

Oracle 9i will be de-supported from this June. After that oracle won't provide full support for same version. There are so many un-identified bugs still there. Who will take risk? Due to this reason should be needed to upgrade.
Still Oracle 11g doesn't famous. For this we should need to upgrade up to 10.2.0.3 is better option. Everybody needs stable product with application support as well as database support from the vendor.
