i m working on linux & installed oracle 10g, tell hgow can use oem & for this what setting i hav to made.

$export ORACLE_SID=sid
$./emctl status dbconsole
if stop then start em services
$./emctl start dbconsole
here you will get URL for em dbconsole.

export DISPLAY=IPADDRESS:0.0

Try xclock+ to check if xwindows is working properly.
Ensure that DBSNMP and SYSMAN accounts are unlocked.
At times they may cause java language exception - returning Null.

At os prompt
export DISPLAY=IPADDRESS:0.0
echo $DISPLAY ---------- check if it is set
$xclock+
you will ha e a clock window popup
