oracle 8i /Windows 2000 server
table has
Multi colum primary key( four fields combination key),
Multi colum index.
6500000 records.
the table access is very slow after
rebuild the index.
any problem in the index rebuild?
then resized the index tablespace,
disabled constraints.
no improvement then
dropped constraints and
added constraints.
no improvement in the speed.
any suggestions please.

Did you have execution plan before and after indexes rebuild. if yes then check and post here what changes you see.
Did you gather tables, indexes statistics.
How mach performance is slow after rebuild indexes.
Can you post here your current execution plan.
