Your requirement is not clear for me.
you want to decrement every time with 1 value. for instance : -1 ,-2, -3 so on... if yes then
create sequence seqexample
increment by -1;

well not like -1,-2,-3
its like cycling the same thing 1,-1,1,-1.
can u pls help me out.

hi,
i think ur not clear with the requirment,the sequences as u say can be done but what i the use of that??? it is too similar to inserting the value which is not unique too.. pls tell me ur requirment i will try to help u more!!!
