hi,
i m using oracle 10g forms. i want to use 2 reportserver.everything is going fine if i rum only 1 reportserver , but as i start another reportserver it conflict & gives me error. then i cant use reprtserver.
so tell me can i use 2 reportserver in a samw nwtweork or not , & how? |

You can use one report server at a time. how?
you can create more than one report server and if one of the reports fails the other report server will work (fail over to it), this process is called Spooling.
how to configure it? You need make some googling because you need to edit XML files for the servers and write some scripts. hard to explain here.

thxs to reply, but cant i run 2 reprtserver at a same timw so i can get the report from one server & as well as another server.
isnt possible ?

yes you can.
But you can not make tow report server for the same report.
one report server for each report.
I hope that clear what you want.

hi,
let me tell et i want to do.
i want to make 2 report server on same database, so user can get reports from both servers wheather its 1 or 2 .same reprts ,same time from both reportserver.thats all i want to implement.
so tell me is it possible ? if yes then hoe ?

i m using oracle database 10g with RAC on IDB AIX machine.i hav set up my application server (oracle application server 10g) on a windows machine.
my user type ip of my application server thats my report server too & get their reports.
so i m looking for wheather i can use 2 report server so my user can use any of them report server & can get their desire reports .
