Hi Taj,

http://dbataj.blogspot.com/2007/09/sending-email-from-oracle-10g-server.html

I've followed the steps successfully from the above given web link for email notification.

. executed utlmail.sql
. prvtmail.plb
. Set SMTP_OUT_SERVER
. granted execute to USER
. created trigger and then once again i did shutdown the database but i didnt get any such mail. I am sure, i have given current email ID and tried thrice but still no luck.

Also, i didnt follow the instructions ( Email example steps given in the following web link: )

http://dbataj.blogspot.com/2007/07/e-mail-notification.html i.e;

Name=taj.domainname.local
Type=Host
Host=taj.domainname.local
Metric=Filesystem Space Available (%)
Mount Point=C:\
Timestamp=Jul 9, 2007 11:30:27 AM GST
Severity=Clear
Message=CLEARED - Filesystem C:\ has only 42.98% available space
Rule Name=Host Availability and Critical States
Rule Owner=SYSMAN

If i've to write above steps, can i know where should i write this?
