Hello everyone. I have been preparing for IZO 007 exam. I have installed Oracle 10g for windows vista. Am using Vista home Premium. Am able to work on the SQL Plus but iSQL Pllus is not working. When i use Internet explorer or Mozilla to start isql using : "http://KARTHIK:5560/isqlplus" I get
"
Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage
Most likely causes:
You are not connected to the Internet.
The website is encountering problems.
There might be a typing error in the address. "
Please help me. Am new to oracle but trying my best to learn. Thank you. |

Karthik,
This kind of issues will be handled by Desktop Supoort guys ,but i recommend you to check the OEM agent and change the ip address to a static one (Instead of DHCP)

You need to start it from command prompt.
isqlplusctl start

Thanks for your replies. I have tried both. But no good results yet. Its the same error when i change the ip address as static. And the command prompt throws up an error : "CNTService:Install, Failed call to open SCM, Error:5, Access is denied"
and
"Failed to start the service, Error:0, The operation completed successfully"
Please help me guys. Am not working. Am a student and so do not have much experience.

You need to do it first
isqlplusctl start
then
http://KARTHIK:5560/isqlplus
If you are getting any error with "isqlplusctl start" then post it here
