 hi all,

i have oracle 10.2.0.1.0 in windows , now i want to upgrade this to 10.2.0.3.0. I have searched in Metalink and goole but didnt find any useful information.

Can anybody help me to upgrade my oracle.

Which patch should i download and step by step procedure to upgrade

Please.................

Hi Taj,

I dont Find any Useful information for my requirement.

Actually My DB Version is 10.2.0.1.0 in windows

And i need to upgrade to 10.2.0.3.0... in the same server


Can you please help me

apply a 10.2.0.3 patch on your version. Find it in metalink patches section.

Then run the catupgrd.sql script after starting the database in startup upgrade mode.

Hi,

The patch number for 10.2.0.3 is 5337014 ,check the readme file and apply the patch .

Taj,

I did upgrade as per you document by now ,when i try to connect to database I'm getting the following error message .

SQL*Plus: Release 10.2.0.3.0 - Production on Fri Feb 1 00:15:55 2008

Copyright (c) 1982, 2006, Oracle. All Rights Reserved.

ERROR:
ORA-12560: TNS:protocol adapter error

I don't know how you follow each and every steps.
I don't know about your database type,size etc.

for below error you have to search on net "ORA-12560". becuase basically it is happen when oracle services is not started.
but in your case also check "services" after that search on metalink and google.
ORA-12560: TNS:protocol adapter error

Don't put your number in forms it is public forms.
if you face problem in production database then you have to ask your sr. dba or it is always required to test anything on test database before going for production.
