Hi,
Presently i have to upgrade the Oracle database from 8i (8.1.6.2.0) to 10g (10.2.0.3)on HP-UX O/S.Here the is also upgrading from 11.11 to 11.23, so from 8.1.6.2.0 to 10g the database is not supporting.So i had to upgrade from 8.1.6.2.0 to 8.1.7.4 then to upgrade to 10g so,here i want the exact patch number from 8.1.6.2.0 to 8.1.7.4 on HP-UX .please send me as soon as possible. |

Hi,
Thanks for sending the Link to check in Metalink, here i saw the link but in this link he is saying that after applying this patch to that version of oracle (8.1.6.2.0 to 8.1.7.4) it may or may not support the database.(As i have to upgrade the database from 8i to 10g) so i request you to please Confirm an exact patch number for HP-UX. Even i checked in google and metalink also,as it is very urgent to me please.

The patch number for 8.1.7.4.0 is 2376472 ,after upgrading to to 8.1.7.4.0 you may have have to follow checklist for manual upgrades to 10gR2.After completion you could drop the rollback segs and create undo tablespace as well.
