Actually by using Cronjobs DBA will take backupfiles in the server. the files are .txt files
my job is
1) read the files from the server by using UTL_file
(for this i have to prepare one procedure and prepare one job for this)
there is 8 files i have to read from the server like fed-1,fed-2...fed-8.
2) along with that "MBAMVTXXXXM001N61101" i have to match this data with one of table's three columns
a) "MBAMVTXXXXM001N61101" first 14 characters with one column
b) next 3 characters with another column
c) next 2 characters with another column
3) if matching criteria is satisfied then i have to update column with "fedXXX%1%1" if the file is fed-1
4) else if matching criteria is satisfied then i have to update column with "fedXXX%2%2" if the file is fed-2
5) else if matching criteria is satisfied then i have to update column with "fedXXX%3%3" if the file is fed-3
6) i have to prepare job for read files from server and read the data from eight files with mactahing if match is ok
i have to update the data with file based..it is hard code.
plz help me it is very urgent....
