Database Administrator with SQL Server and Oracle skills required to join Investment Management house in the City.

You will need to be equally skilled in both databases in order to provide day to day production support, working with and advising developers, and work on projects in the SQL Server and Oracle environment. This role is weighted towards SQL Server so expertise needs to be in this area however Oracle administration will be part of day to day administration duties. Candidates will need in-depth technical ability of:

• Troubleshooting/ analysis of Oracle: 9i and 10g on windows

• Troubleshooting/analysis of SQL Server 2000 and 2005

• Perl scripting

• Previously constructed/developed/implemented large scale databases

Ideally you will have previous experience in SQL Server and Oracle database administration within the Asset management industry. If you do not have financial industry specific experience candidates will need to indicate experience within business critical environments and the ability to work under pressure.
