Position : Oracle DBA
Greencard Holders or US citizens .
Location : Silverspring , MD
Duration : 6 months Project.

Ideal candidate will have strong DBA and development background with at
least minimum 6 years experience, deep understanding of database
concepts, as well as strong production support of multiple databases.
Strong understanding of Unix AIX/Sun Solaris. Provided highly technical
expertise in the use of Oracle DBMS under Unix. Evaluate and recommend
available DBMS products to support validated user requirements. Define
file organization, indexing methods, and security procedures for
specific user applications. Support custom Financial Applications; Unix
/ shell script; must have strong verbal and written communication
skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and
non-technical management and line staff
Required Experience:
Minimum of 5-7 years of Oracle database experience in a UNIX client
environment
At least 5 years experience with Oracle operational database
administration in UNIX environment
Demonstrated Oracle 10g operations DBA experience
Fully capable of installing/configuring/tuning Oracle RDBMS under Solaris
Desirable skills - experience with Oracle 10g RAC, PHP/Apache,
Websphere, JDBC/ODBC
Experience creating secure web-enabled database front ends and
experience solving database connectivity problems between web front-ends
and Oracle environment desired
Experience in server upgrades and strong shell programming.
Solid communication and interpersonal skills are essential; leadership
ability is essential
Solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle or equivalent
methodology


Experience in the following areas is a plus:
Oracle 9i certification, Oracle 10G exposure
Oracle Enterprise Manager, Oracle Designer
Installation/Configuration of Quest
Oracle Data Guard transaction replication
